RAT RECORDS: RARE AND TREACHEROUS

RAT records was founded by Teun Verbruggen and Bruno Vansina in 2003 to bring out their first VVG trio - album. Wanting to put out their own music without compromise we had to create our own label. The highly appreciated Trio Music came out September 2004. The next release on the RAT label came out April 2006. In Orbit, a double cd full of musical jewels, which is allready one of the critics most liked 2006 new jazz cd's. Next came The Ankh with Mauro Pawlowski, Jozef Dumoulin and Teun Verbruggen. A band called Othin Spake which is bringing fresh improvisations going from sweet punk to ecletic postrock,rough soundscaping and minimal electronic, Juanita from the band Rackham and Red Rocket from the band Mitten. Latest production (release september 2007) is a new Vansina-Verbruggen-Gudmundsson trio cd called Tokio Quantize. Our aim is to bring out music without compromises. Experimental, jazz,... in fact everything that is good music for us. We're looking for interesting labels, partners, distributors,...to get this music to as much people as possible.
